Fomer HP CEO Carly Fiorina is finding out the hard way that running for statewide office is way different than arrogantly ramming the Compaq acquisition down the throats of Hewlett-Packard employees, retirees and shareholders. And her repeated failure to even show up at the polls with all the little people (she didn’t even lick a stamp and vote absentee) has drawn justifiable criticism from Debra Saunders of the SF Chronicle and other political reporters

To this dispassionate Republican, failing to vote is not a new subject. In fact, the failure of former California Lt. Gov. Mike Curb to vote for Ronald Reagan for governor in 1966 and again in 1970 was the final nail in the coffin of Curb’s campaign for the GOP nomination for governor in 1982. Curb blamed his failure on not having the time because he was running his recording industry business. Fiorina’s handlers are smarter, stating for the record that Carly “regrets not voting.”…..Might as well cut your losses.

Not wanting to pass up an opportunity to fan the flames, Dem strategist Garry South said voters can smell this type of Leona Helmsley attitude. Keep in mind this is the same Garry South that helped Gray Davis become the private citizen he is today.
